A comforting environment

I enjoy easing new clients into an environment where they feel comfortable sharing their stories, easing them from the guilt and shame of admitting their struggles. I use humor and honesty to make clients feel more at ease.


A loving & assertive approach

I cut to the chase quickly (but never too soon) after we've built trust. They can count on me to give it to them straight and provide encouragement to make the difficult changes that are necessary for healing.


Expert treatment

I am intensively trained as a Relational and DBT therapist and have been working with disordered eating since 1991.

What I need from you

Treatment requires a commitment to recovery. I need my clients to be vulnerable, try their hardest, not be perfectionistic, and have confidence in their ability to recover.

Our first session.

Once we schedule our first appointment, I’ll begin to understand exactly what you’d like to work on before our session. Then, we'll meet!

 
 

Planning ahead.

After our initial session, we’ll develop plans to address the most important target behaviors and decide on how regularly we will meet.

 
 
 

Review & repeat.

Each session we review progress and difficulties to help meet your target goals. Recovery is not a linear process, so we’ll stay flexible to overcome any obstacles that arise throughout our journey.
